North Country Trail Expedition
The team is doing a section hike of the North
Country Trail from Yankee Springs north to Mackinaw (hopefully). You can follow our progress on the blog. Follow

The Fortune Bay Expeditionary Team is a wilderness exploration group and educational institution. The team
is open to everyone of all ages, regardless of skill level or ability. Although some of the activities are reserved for experienced
individuals. Many of the activities are suited to all ages and skill levels. Some expeditions and most activities are attended
by beginners. Activities are designed to introduce beginners to the sport of expeditions and for members to share knowledge
and experiences with each other.
An Expeditionary Team is unlike
most outdoor organizations. "Expeditionary" describes the main activity, but more importantly, the activities of
an expedition can be limitless. Where most clubs are limited to a singular activity like "hiking", "biking",
"kayaking" or similar sport. We can hike, bike, kayak, sail, crawl, fly, parachute, drive, dive, limp, submarine
or pretty much do anything on our expeditions. The point, of course, is the activities are limitless and we try to include
specialist in many different fields. This means we are always learning from each other and always learning something new.
The "Team" denotes that this is more than
a social group. The types of activities demand that members of "this" club MUST work together to be successful.
It is more like a brotherhood/sisterhood than a social club.
All
expeditions and activities are organized by members and "all" are encouraged to participate in expeditions as team
members and leaders.
