BSA Merit Badges and Venturing
The
Fortune Bay Expeditionary Team has been teaching Scouts the skills needed for Orienteering, Camping, Hiking, Backpacking,
Wilderness Survival, First Aid, and a variety of other outdoor skills for a number of years. We have registered Merit
Badge Counselors on staff for the Orienteering, Camping, Backpacking, Hiking and Wilderness Survival Merit Badges.
We offer group instruction for each merit badge. The minimum group size is 8 scouts. If your group is
not large enough, contact us as we can sometimes combine groups or incorporate scouts in our classes. We can also help
with trip requirements such as backpacking, hiking and wilderness survival trips. Most merit badge requirements can
be completed during the group session. Because of our education standards, we cannot sign blue cards completed elsewhere.
On occasion, we are available to speak to troops at meetings or to help arrange a trip, class or outing for troop leaders.
