Outdoor Skills Workshop

Wittenbach/Wege Center in Lowell, Michigan.
The Outdoor Skills course is a collection of outdoor skills taught buy experienced
expedition members in both a classroom and outdoor environment. Skills include gear selection and uses, knot tying, fire building,
cooking, water treatment, shelters, compass and map reading, setting up camp, rope work (including rappelling, ascending,
rope bridges, and tyrolean traverse). The course is designed for the outdoors person with basic skills and wishes to learn
more advanced techniques. The intent of the course is to provide students with an introduction to techniques used on expeditions
of the Fortune Bay Expeditionary Team.
The class is $35 per participant or $65 per
two person team. Limit of 15 participants.
