Expeditionary Skills Course

The Ziph Expeditionary Team Skills course will cover basic expeditionary skills such as ropework, wilderness travel, knot tying, and a wide variety of other skills. The course is designed to introduce participants to basic skills needed for future activities of the team.

All individuals are welcome to attend this course.

Course Curriculum

1) Map and Compass Reading
2) Global Positioning System (GPS) use and practice
3) Rappelling, Ascending, Traversing, Telfer Lower, Knot Tying, etc.
4) Team Dynamics and Team Structure
5) Various Campcraft Techniques (Firestarting, site selection, constructing site amenities, etc.)
6) Wilderness Expeditioneering and activities.
