Leg Description: Primarily, a stretch without unique features, but wildlife is more prevalent. I started where I left off (as usual). The first (for the most part only) feature is a replica train depot that now stands were Howard City's historic depot once stood. I traveled to M-46 which is the first major road to cross without going over or under. Because this leg was void of unique things, I decided to jog and hike, trading tasks as the mood hit me.
The trail separates from Northland Drive North of M-46. This provided a wide array of wildlife sightings. Including 15 rabbits, two whitetail deer, various birds and rodents, and two cats. The whitetail's seemed unconcerned by me and my walking the trail. The rabbits even wait until I got within 10 yards before springing into the bush. At one point, I walked within 75 yards of a statuesque doe, who starred with upright ears until she finally sprang into the deep woods with one bound. Just before Morley, I ended at Washington Road. Ended at Jeep Bravo, 1928 hours EST.
