The Pathfinder is responsible for carrying out the decisions of the Team Leader and replaces the Team Leader, if he/she is unable to perform his/her duties.
Responsibilities include:
Sweeper
The Sweeper is a rear guard responsible for ensuring all personnel and equipment do not fall behind. They also assess and repair environmental damage left by the team. The sweeper will organize bivouac tasks, such as site selection, security, food preparation/storage, firewood, etc.
Mission Specialist
The mission specialist is responsible for the actual mission such as salvage, recording, recovery, rescue, construction, surveying, etc. The mission specialist is most qualified to carry out the specific goal.
