I spent most of my growing up years in the country on a river where I hiked, hunted, boated in homemade boats, fished, trapped and mushroomed. Learned a little about edible plants in the wild and my favorite books were the adventures of Huck Finn and Tom Sawyer by Mark Twain.

For Education I moved to Cedar Springs to attend a private christian highschool and college where I completed a Batchelor of Science in Alternative Energy. I was co-team lead for the Gm Sunrayce with WMU and Jordan College racing a solar car from Florida to Michigan.

For a career I spent a couple of years in the city of San Francisco as part owner of a solar company. While there, I spent as much time as I could hiking and camping along the Russian and Yuba rivers in northern California but hated the big city life and wanted to get back to the backwoods of Michigan. After a phone call from a high school sweetheart named Carolee I ended up back in Michigan where I currently am enjoying a marriage of 22 years with her and our four beautiful daughters. My main goal in life is to make the pathway behind me look better then the one in front of me…..
