The Expeditionary Ropework Course was complete at 3:26 pm on Saturday, October 19th, 2003. The class covered skills and techniques required in many expeditionary activities. The course was a success. Participants were required to perform the following:

1. Identify and use aided climbing equipment
2. Tie 8 knots

3. Construct an improvised harness
4. Set up anchors, slings, and various ropework configurations
5. Rappel from a height of over 15 ft (Wall, Free, Austrailian)
6. Ascend (by rope) a height of over 15ft

6. Construct a two rope bridge, one rope bridge, tyrolean traverse, telfer lower over a river not less than 20 feet wide
7. Cross a one rope and two rope bridge, a tyrolean traverse, and perform a telfer lower and rescue

Course length: 30 hours and 26 minutes
